Guide to set- up Mobile Campaigns

Learn how to set up mobile campaigns in AdLib for all your use cases.

In-App Only Campaign Set Up

MMP Integration is required to track app install & in-app events and to help the corresponding DSP with data signals to optimize the campaigns. The events flow from MMP to DSP once they are integrated. Based on the MMP, we can share guides and steps.

Example MMP set-up guides:

  1. Campaign Objective: App Install

Drive installations and post-install activity for iOS and Android Apps

2. Audience:

Technology > Operating System > <Android/iOS>

  • Android for an Android App

  • iOS for an iOS App

3. Creative:

  • Click URL should be either Playstore/App Store link to the app for App Install campaign

  • To optimize for in- app events, the recommendation is to use deferred deeplink to land the user to a specific page in the app

4. Schedule, Budget, Frequency:

  • As Required

App2Web Campaign Set Up

In the absence of MMP, Kayzen DSP offers a postback integration solution with Google Tag Manager to track conversions and events. This setup also accommodates Mobile Web standard activity with the benefit of tracking, centralizing and optimizing the campaign on the same DSP.

App2Web: Integrating Kayzen and GTM

  1. Campaign Objective:

    Based on client's goal such as Reach, Traffic, Sales & Conversions

  2. Audience:

    Select based on your targeting criteria

  • Channels> Mobile In-app

    • Optional: adding Mobile Web in case both are relevant for the campaign

  • OS > Android/iOS

  • OPTIONAL to target specific apps :

    • Sites & Apps > Top Sites> Android Curated Apps (Video Only), Android Top 100 Apps, iOS Curated Apps (Video Only), iOS Top 100 Apps

    • Sites & Apps > Custom Site List > <App IDs>

  • As Required

Mobile Web Campaign Set up

This standard setup doesn’t require any additional integration and can run in any DSP, relying exclusively on regular browser tracking capabilities for attribution.

  1. Campaign Objective: Based on client goal such as Reach, Traffic, Sales & Conversions

2. Audience:

Select based on your targeting criteria

  • Channels> Mobile Web

  • OS > Android/iOS

3. Schedule, Budget, Frequency, Creatives - As Required

To set CPA goal and track conversions

Once the MMP/Kayzen integration is complete, conversions can be tracked and optimized for specific goals

  1. Pixel Set Up

Go under Management > Pixels > Create New and give an appropriate name to suggest the action based on the events on app such as install, sign up, subscription, cart additions, purchase etc.

2. Target CPA:

Input your target CPA based on action/event you want to optimize for such as:

  • Install

  • Sign Up

  • Subscription

  • Cart Additions

  • Purchase

3. Conversion Pixel

Based on the above action/event, select the appropriate pixel such as App Install, Add to Cart, Purchase etc.
